By accessing and using Random Place Picker ("the app", "the service") at randomplacepicker.cc, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Service Description
Random Place Picker is a free web application that helps users discover random places (restaurants, cafes, bars, and other venues) in their city. The service is provided as-is, free of charge, with no guarantees of availability or uptime.
No Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of place data (names, addresses, phone numbers, cuisine types)
- That any listed place is currently open, operational, or safe to visit
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service
- That the service will meet your specific requirements
Third-Party Services
Random Place Picker relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms:
- OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — provides place data. Subject to the OSM Foundation Terms of Use.
- Nominatim — provides geocoding (city-to-coordinates conversion). Subject to the Nominatim Usage Policy.
- Google Maps — used for directions links. Subject to Google Terms of Service.
- Travelpayouts — affiliate program for travel services.
We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party services.
User Responsibilities
By using Random Place Picker, you agree to:
- Use the service for lawful purposes only
- Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service
- Not scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the service
- Verify place information independently before visiting
- Exercise your own judgment and caution when visiting any place suggested by the app
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Random Place Picker and its creator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to damages resulting from visiting places suggested by the app.
Intellectual Property
The Random Place Picker name, logo, design, and original code are the intellectual property of Serhii Mikheiko. Place data is provided by OpenStreetMap and its contributors under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL).
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
